Seashell Inspiration: Custom Fireplaces, Chandeliers & More!

Meet Heather Kendall, owner of Elegant Shells and creator of shell chandeliers, shell mirrors, decorative items, and interior shell work.

Heather Kendall has been designing with seashells for seven years and her pieces can be found in beautiful homes from Nantucket to Los Angeles. Using shells sourced throughout the world, Heather and her team create custom designs.

In keeping a conscientious attitude regarding the environment, Heather assures customers that many of the shells used are by-products of the seafood industry. "We do not carry shells that are endangered or threatened. Certain shells become unavailable from time to time…. preventing over gathering. Most coral is not offered any longer."

Heather's work speaks for itself...

Heather travels throughout the United States creating and installing seashell masterpieces such as the  fireplace surround shown below.

Below is a real showstopper mirror that allows for a contemporary feel while allowing the luxurious, polished, deep toned, shells to work their magic. This mirror measures 6' tall! It looks great standing and can be hung vertically or horizontally. Its frame is a beautiful rubbed, bronzed metal and the glass is beveled.

Unique seashell covered busts are true conversation pieces . . .

The Yacht Club mirror (shown below) features beveled glass with Polished Shells and Crushed Shell to create a magnificent piece of art.

Another beautiful custom fireplace surround . . .

This bathroom redesign included a seashell covered mirror and seashell chandelier.

Anything is possible!

These unique bookends can be ordered in any color.

Heather was recently on the Island of Boca Grande, Florida to visit some clients as well as attend the bi-annual art show.
